Based on its core competences and technologies JOTEC provides physicians with custom-made endovascular products. This allows treatment of vessel anatomies which cannot be treated by existing standard products. The E-xtra DESIGN ENGINEERING department offers the possibility of patient specific therapeutic solutions for the aortic arch, thoraco-abdominal aorta down to the common iliac arteries.
Now 2,000 customized implants have now been released and implanted since starting with the E-xtra DESIGN ENGINEERING in 2012. Thereof more almost 70% were individual solutions to treat complex thoraco-abdominal diseases and around 30% for juxta-renal treatment. Most of the implantations were done in Germany, Italy, Spain, Poland, France, UK, BeNeLux, Switzerland and Austria.
Starting from the sketch and in close cooperation with the physician dedicated JOTEC product specialists as well as the JOTEC engineers work out sophisticated therapeutic strategies and appropriate implants for the treatment of complex aortic diseases. Fenestrations, scallops or multiple branches as well as all kind of tapered or reversed tapered designs are possible. Beyond that, the support from JOTEC is also guaranteed up to the implantation in the operating theaters.
JOTEC has set up an outstanding workflow to ensure the delivery of the final custom- made product in 18 working days only. This allows prompt treatment of patients which before had to wait several months.
