  • Straub Medical AG announced to-day that the Brazilian Health Surveillance Agency ANVISA has approved the Rotarex®S and Aspirex®S rotational catheter systems. These endovascular rotational catheters restore blood flow in occluded blood vessels by removing occlusion material from the vessel. The catheter systems are used by specialized medical professionals such as vascular surgeons, interventional radiologists and other endovascular specialists during minimally invasive procedures known as endovascular interventions.

    Ricardo Aun, MD, Vascular Surgeon at AlbertEinstein Hospital São Paulo and Associate Professor in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Universidade de São Paulo, welcomes ANVISA’s decision: “Rotarex®S andAspirex®S rotational catheter systems are internationally established standard treatments for arterial and venous occlusive disease. Withthe ANVISA approval, endovascular specialists throughout Brazil can now use these catheter systems to treat a large variety of vascular occlusions in their patients.”
