SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aptus Endosystems, Inc., a medicaldevice company pioneering solutions to enhance aneurysm repair, today announcedthat it has appointed Bart Edward Muhs, M.D., Ph.D. to the position of ChiefMedical Officer. Dr. Muhs has more than 15 years of experience in the medicalfield with a focus on vascular and endovascular surgery.
Dr. Muhs serves as an Associate Professor of VascularSurgery and holds the positions of Co-Director, Endovascular Surgery andClinical Director, Vascular Surgery at the Yale University School of Medicine.He also practices vascular surgery and endovascular interventions at Yale-NewHaven Hospital.

Dr. Muhs completed his medical training at theUniversity of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and residency at New YorkUniversity Medical Center. He completed his vascular surgery fellowship at NewYork University Medical Center and obtained his Ph.D. at Utrecht University inThe Netherlands. Dr. Muhs was a United States Fulbright Scholar at theUniversity of Yaounde I in Cameroon, Africa. Dr. Muhs is frequently invited asteaching faculty to vascular and endovascular symposia around the world and hasauthored more than 100 published articles in the fields of vascular andendovascular surgery.
